News Valley Families Mark Your Calendar - Spaghetti Supper February 4th - Please plan to bring the family and join us for a Spaghetti Supper at the school on February 4th at 6:00 p.m. Postcards with details will be going out soon. The school will provide the main course, beverages and plates/utensils. If your last name begins with A-L, please bring a dessert to serve 12 persons; M-Z, please bring a salad to serve 12. Looking forward to seeing you there! Valley Spirit Wear Sale - The 5/6 Leadership class will be sponsoring a Valley Hoodie (Sweatshirt) Sale beginning Monday, Jan. 25. before and after school. Hoodies can be ordered as a pullover or with a zipper and will feature the Valley logo. Color: forest green. Please see the attached order form with additional information and pricing. Profit from the sale will benefit Valley School. Thank you for your support. Valley friend and alumni parent Marion Day (Mamie) - was honored with a front page article in the Flint Journal about her work with young children and families. Maime's son, Evan, is a 2008 graduate of Valley and is currently attending Kalamazoo College. She was a tireless volunteer at Valley. Everyone at Valley would like to congratulate Mamie for the important work she is doing in our community. It's time to prepare for Valley's Auction! - A letter went out to all families early this week describing how you can help make this year's auction a fun and successful event. We need everyone's participation! Invitations will be going out soon. If you would like any invitations for friends or family, please provide their addresses to the office as soon as possible or send them to Susan Brandt. Frankenmuth Field Trip - Middle and Upper School students took a field trip to Frankenmuth for the Ice Sculpture Festival on Friday, January 29. Students learned about design and sculpturing. Valley Student Art on Display - Valley is please to announce that three of its students currently have art posters on display at Flint City Hall: Naji El Aachef (9th Grade), Bijan Darakhshandeh (9th Grade) and Ashlee Stimson (6th Grade). Congratulations to all! College Counseling Congratulations to Josh Medore for being accepted to the University of Findley.
